The Metro Detroit Linux Users Group!
MDLUG is an informal community group organized to advocate the GNU/Linux operating system by educating the public and socializing among peers.

MDLUG meets monthly at The Gaudior Academy in Inkster.

Summary: Each meeting usually begins with MDLUG business. A presentation may follow. Often general discussions are the order of business. (Contact secretary at mdlug.org to learn the requirements and volunteer to do a presentation.) After the meeting, some of us usually go to a local restaurant.

Linux is free computer software. It is an operating system (some would say a competitor to Microsoft Windows). A long list of free software is also provided with Linux. Stop in and ask for some copies.

This is an informal meeting. We often just sit around the computer room and talk, solve computer problems and eat snacks.

Oh, come in and tell us your story about Linux or computers.

All are welcome.

We always go out to a local restaurant (Penara Bread on Ford Road near Beech Daily) after the meeting.
