Metro Detroit’s first and only pets welcome church is holding their First Annual Pet Blessing Service this Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The service will be held at Dunk N Dogs Pet Wash [www.dunkndogs.com], 27911 Five Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48154. Dunk N Dogs is four blocks west of Inkster Rd. between Lila’s Pierogis and Carriage Car Wash and has additional parking in the rear. All Creatures ULC’s Pet Blessing Service is a free event although donations will be gratefully accepted to support the church and its outreach to animal charities.

Our pet blessing service is a spiritual celebration to honor our loyal companions who love us unconditionally. In addition to the Pet Blessing Service, the church holds regular Sunday services for people and their pets every Sunday at 1:00 pm at Dunk N Dogs. All Creatures ULC also holds Wednesday services at 11:00 am at Hines Park Dog Park, Hines Drive at Merriman in Westland, MI (weather permitting).

In addition to its Sunday and Wednesday services, All Creatures ULC also provides pet loss grief support, memorial services, prayers for animals who are sick or injured, and many other services for both animals and humans. We can come to a clinic to comfort the bereaved, hold hands (and hearts) during surgery or euthanasia, perform a memorial service at a home, barn, pet cemetery, or in a park. Our philosophy is gentle and respectful. We have pets of our own, and have sincere compassion for the difficult times pet owners sometimes face.
