P>This is a courtesy posting for P.A.W.S. of Michigan Dixie has tested negative for heart worm and has all her shots. Dixie is approximately 1-3 years old. She appears to have some Lab in her also. She weighs about 65 lbs. She knows basic commands, but is very strong and needs to work on leash walking. She loves to run and would like an owner who will take her for a run (on leash, of course) daily. She is a good car rider and loves kids. We are not sure how she is with other dogs and cats at this time. She hasn't been around them. Dixie is good in her foster mom's home and hasn't been destructive at all! She is ready for her new home! ADOPTION FEE $150 The dogs/puppies that are posted are available, unless it is stated 'adopted'. If one is 'pending' you still may submit an application in case the adoption does not go through.P.A.W.S does not operate a shelter, all of our pets are in foster homes. Personal appointment to see one of our pets may be done after an adoption application has been completed and approved..WE DO NOT DO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS.Our adoption fees are posted on our home page.You must be at least 21 years old to apply.To apply, please send an email to: info@pawsofmichigan.com. Please list all persons living in your home, include their ages and gender. Are all household members in agreement with adopting this pet?4. Type of housing you live in (own home, apartment, condo, etc.). If you rent please provide the name of the complex and landlord's phone number.5. Whether you have a fenced-in yard, and the height of the fence. 6. What arrangements have you made to care for the pet in case you can no longer do so?7. The number of hours per day the animal will be left alone, and where you will keep the animal when left alone?8. How much time do your current/previous pet spend outdoors? How much time would this new pet spend outdoors?9. A list of any animals you've had in the last 10 years, including how long you had them and where they are now. Please include the names of each animal, and the type of animal.10. Are/were they spayed/neutered? Current on vaccines? On heartworm prevention (dog)?11. Are/were your pets seen annually veterinarian care?
