Birthdate 9-13-08 Piper is a Heinz 57 mixed breed rescued from Rouge Park a year ago this month. She came to us at about 1 week old. We hand fed her until she could eat solid food on her own. Because of this she is very bonded to our family and has some insecurity issues that we work on with her, on a daily basis. She is crate trained and housebroken.She needs a fenced yard and will require a home visit. She is high energy and loves to be outside as much as possible. Piper needs a very hands on family.She needs to be walked every day. She loves the company of other dogs, we have 4 that she has grown up with.She does well with children over 6 years old. Piper is initially very shy. You must be an Alpha family in order to have a successful relationship with her. She does not respond to "wishy washy" very well. Prior dog ownership/ handling experience is a must. Piper is a lover once she warms up to you, but it takes time. She loves attention, cuddling and playing ball etc. At about 2 feet high and 40 pounds she is a medium build. She was born with a cropped tail. Piper is spayed and her shots are all current. She is in excellent health!
