Shepherd - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog - Kouya

DOB 4-7-07 Kouya is a Japanese word for "wilderness", as he came to us with no social interaction with people. He had spent the first year of his life on his own trapped in someone's backyard. No water was left out for him. He had to hope that he could get enough trapped rain in the garbage that surrounded him. He lived under the deck in the freezing cold. I am not sure how he survived. With all that background, Kouya is a very wonderful sensitive dog. He is about 50lbs and house trained. He gets along splendidly with other dogs. Kouya is a great companion, he walks well on the leash having learned the basics of obedience. The least amount of correction has him working very hard to do exactly what you want. He is definitely a people pleaser. At night he curls up on the bed and wakes me up with kisses the next morning. (But not too early. He is willing to wait while you sleep in.) He loves to play with his toys, stuffed animals don't last too long. He is bringing the ball back and learning how to let it go. He is a smart dog and will make someone a great companion. He deserves a great home after what he has had to suffer his first year.
