DescriptionBusiness Analyst Job Description:

Summary: The eCommerce business analyst acts as a liaison between the eCommerce team and internal customers. This analyst will serve as the voice of the customer to the development teams and maintain a deep understanding of why the systems work the way they do, and be the single most knowledgeable person of online ordering, call center, and mobile ordering functionality.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Interface with internal & external customers

- Collects, documents, and maintains the authoritative list of requirements for all eCommerce technical efforts

- Elicits requirements from stakeholders using techniques such as interviews, meetings, surveys, and others as needed

- Functions as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders (Marketing, Agency, IT, Legal, etc.) for eCommerce requests or questions


eCommerce functional requirements management

- Lead all aspects of functional requirements definition and requirements management for all eCommerce team projects

- Decompose, refine, and document requirements using appropriate graphical & textual techniques, including use cases, diagrams, process models, wireframes, and functional & technical specifications

- Manage requirements change control process

- Collaboratively document test criteria with requestors, and quality control team


eCommerce technical requirements management

- Elicit technical requirements from technical team

- Collaboratively document test criteria with development team


QUALIFICATIONS

- Exceptional written communication skills

- Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment

- IT projects

- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical subjects to a non-technical audience

- Technical credibility - Java and/or web development experience preferred

- Prior experience working in a consulting firm preferred

- BS Degree in a computer science and/or technical writing discipline

- 5+ years of professional business experience in a software development environment

- 3+ years leading all aspects of SDLC requirements definition and management activities for complex
