Ability to maintain a complex network to support an E-commerce system and VoIP infrastructure. In addition develop and use of an effective preventive maintenance program suitable to meet the operation objective of 99.9% availability


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform architecture and security for E-Commerce website

-Providing complex networking solutions that include highly secure and dynamic networks on an enterprise scale.

-Analyzes business needs; designs, installs, troubleshoots, and supports network solutions on one or multiple platforms in a LAN, WAN or Web Architecture.

-Receives escalated issues and is the last level of support for troubleshooting networks, VPN, servers and other network equipment.

-Excels at problem solving and infrastructure planning, with the potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions.

-Acts as a project entry-point for initiatives focused on security, e-commerce and internal web hosting.

-Expert on Windows and Linux/Unix platforms, Cisco switching and routing, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, security, Web technologies, and high-availability network architectures, supporting stores, corporate users, and public customers.

-Creates project implementation plans, production configurations, and documentation required to implement high-visibility large impact capital infrastructure projects


Act as an infrastructure technology consultant for internal development groups

-Support internal development, E-Commerce, and Web teams in the implementation of ever-changing content and applications supporting customers and stores.


Documentation and administration

-Ensuring evolving technical infrastructure meets company requirements, day to day operations are maintained, new technologies are reviewed and implemented, standards and security requirements are met, and interoperability needs are addressed.


Mentor and Support

-Mentor, assist, & support Administration, Security, and Operations technical teams.

-Conducts periodic technology and security reviews with support staff to address areas of growth or issue.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science - related field or equivalent industry experience.

*Minimum 5 years experience with Cisco switched and routed environment, Cisco certification a plus.

*Minimum 5 years experience with MS Windows server platforms (2003/2008/Active Directory).

*5 or more years experience with UNIX systems (Solaris, Linux, AIX) in large environments.

*Minimum 4 years experience with Checkpoint Firewalls.

*Experience in standardizing and automating system builds, component installation, and system configuration.

*Experience with software and hardware troubleshooting and system monitoring.

*Experience with UNIX installation standards (pkgadd, rpm, lppinstall).

*Strong UNIX scripting skills.

*Familiar with UNIX security technologies (PowerBroker, Syslog, Cisco Security Agent).

*Thorough understanding of virtualization/zoning and data replication.

*Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate professionally in a corporate environment.
