O ne of SGA's major financial clients is looking for an Open Systems Engineer for a long-term consulting role in Belleville, MI. This resource will work within a team of 3-4 engineers to help r emove devices from packing material & assemble , l oad operating system and image , i nstall support hardware for all devices to be installed into cabinets on raised floor , p lace devices in cabinets according to instructions from DCFM and aperture , c omplete cabling and cable organization per firm standards , l abel all devices and cables per firm standards , e nsure redundancy requirements are met by running dual power cables to appropriate A and B power strips as well as running dual network cables to primary and backup network Switches , p erform quality checks , s upport day to day operations , w ork with shift lead to ensure that all client tickets are responded to in a timely fashion and that we meet specific goals. Also acts as Technical Lead on UNIX based projects. Complete necessary escorts for vendors , e nsure that timesheets and PAR are accurate and entered at the close of your last work day each wee k, p rovide technical and tactical leadership to the 407 level staff through mentoring and the technical development of junior staff , a ct as the escalation point for all technical issues in Belleville as well as other sites as needed.


Must have a b asic understanding of Data Center technologies and organization. Networking principles. Linux, UNIX and Windows usage and understanding. Hardware & cabling as it relates to a Data Center environment.
