Jawood has a new opportunity for a Documentation Specialist.

SUMMARY

Under minimum supervision, creates and modifies content for the client Intranet and Internet Websites as well as other online business and email materials

Responsible for analysis, design, testing and implementation of Website content that supports business objectives while ensuring that the tone of content complies with organizational standards

Will assist other team members with Website design, page layouts and enhancements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience writing for outbound e-mail campaigns, interactive marketing components and Web pages.

Creates and modifies content for the client website

Analyzes, designs, tests and implements Website content

Ensures that content complies with organizational standards and supports

Reviews all Web content for grammatical, spelling and typographic errors with accuracy and speed

Ensures corrections are made prior to posting content on sites

Participates in quality assurance testing and monitors automated tools to maintain and improve quality standards

Aids in interactive email marketing by implementing consistent design and effective layouts. Writes and develops content for various online advertising medium

Assists in Website design, page layouts, enhancements, photo retouching, content creation and ongoing content management under the direction of the senior Web designer or information architect

Assists with Website consulting initiatives to develop efficient Website content

Works in collaboration with various teams across the organization including marketing, graphics, sales, product and IT to produce content

Assists in the evaluation and implementation of new and emerging Web technologies

Serves as primary moderator of user-generated content in blogs and forums

Contributes to social media marketing efforts as appropriate

Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor s degree in Communication, English, or Journalism preferred

Two (2) to three (3) years of Web editing experience

REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated ability to conceptualize Web interface solutions

Proven working knowledge of Web programming languages and related software tools and programs

Strong understanding of interactivity and the Web with understanding of online marketing tactics, industry trends and user behavior including search, email, and social networking platforms

Creative, self-starting, detail oriented, technically savvy with strong interpersonal skills and team orientation

Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job

May be required to work after normal business hours including weekends to support press release distribution, resolve Website issues or support IT maintenance activities

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
