One Of A Kind Portable/Wearable Art Jewelry
This beautiful piece is a one-of-a-kind melding of vintage carved shell cameo and rose gold 14/20 rolled wire. No two pieces can be identical, since fused glass never melts the same way two batches in a row, and no two pieces of glass from the same load in a kiln fuse the same.
The types of wire I use are sterling silver, 14 karat rolled gold wire (also known as 14-20 gold), copper, and brass. Wire wrapping, a process that has been around for centuries, does not use any heating, soldering, brazing, or other adhesives to fasten wires to each other; rather, the focal stone (or glass, or bead) is held in place by bending and wrapping the wire around itself.
Each piece is handmade in my studio, and is One Of A Kind.
