Lessons
Take cattle classes so you and your horse can learn the proper skills for controling cattle in and out of the arena. You can slowly introduce your horse to cattle, learn to cut a single cow out of the herd, and how to properly control the cow down the arena. Either you can introduce your own horse to it or borrow one of the ranch's trusty experienced mounts.
