Position Description:We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Unit Manager or RN Supervisor to lead the clinical team of a 50-bed unit within a larger skilled nursing facility. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the unit, so strong leadership and proven management skills are a must.


Responsibilities:

- Assure optimal quality of care is provided in a safe environment.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs to measure, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care, services, and treatment delivered to residents.

- Ensure department compliance with federal, state and local regulations and follow all company policies and procedures.

- Plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues.

- Set goals and establish priorities. Develop and coordinate plans and policies and manage resources to meet those goals. Monitor and evaluate operations, programs, and practices for quality and effectiveness, and advocate changes necessary to meet challenges.

- Maintain contact with individuals both within and outside the department who impact department and program activities.
Experience Required:- An RN license in Michigan.

- At least one year supervisory experience in a long term care setting.

- ASN or BSN preferred.

- Some knowledge of marketing and strategic plan development.

- Able to prioritize and organize. Able to establish objectives and specify strategies and actions to achieve those objectives.

- Knowledge of current developments in field of nursing, of trend variance analysis.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed. Must be able to communicate ideas and information clearly both verbally and in writing.
