No calls please, email us at rasa.rescue@gmail.com if you have any questions.SweetHeart is a beautiful grey colored rabbit that is looking for a new start in life.She was dropped off at a pet store, because the owners didn't want her anymore. The petstore took her in, spayed her and took good care of her for 2 months. SweetHeart was becomming cage protective and wanted to nip the workers when they put their hands in her cage. This is common for rabbits to do in an environment where there are preditors (dogs, cats, humans, etc.), they are afraid and protecting their homes so they sometimes bite and/or box.When SweetHeart arrived at Rabbit & Small Animal Rescue she was allowed to come out of her carrier on her own. The foster spoke calmly to her and began petting her, there was no nipping or biting. She was not put in a cage, but put in a penned area. Every few hours the foster came down and petted her and still not nipping because we speak softly and let her know that we are not going to harm her. On the second day, the same procedure is being followed, only this time we were able to lift her up.
